Hectic Time

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Uncategorized

In 24 hours, so many things have happened.

First, I had a bad fall. The joints in my right knee just twisted. It dislocated, but relocated itself. Hence, I was not able to stop myself from falling. Good thing though that my unprecedented descent was sideways. Otherwise, it would have been fatal to the baby girl in my tummy.  I have to admit though that my side is still hurting because i bumped some boxes upon hitting the ground. Next thing i knew, my officemates were surrounding me, even the ones who were outside the room. They wanted to call our doctor or ambulance to check if me or the baby is okay. But i insisted on just resting and not making such ado which might be about nothing.

My knee is still slightly swollen. It still hurts, truth be told. One told me that i should go see a doctor because it might be an ACL injury. I have been experiencing this predicament once every few years. It never occurred to me that it might be an injury since I don’t pride myself as an athlete. My former physical trainor even commented that I do not know how to run! Anyway, one day soon, I will go see a specialist when time permits.

Then, i have not gotten sleep for more than four hours the last few days. So, since I had the fall yesterday, I was really hoping to be home early for that beauty rest. But then, I was free to go at around 1030pm already. But I didn’t want to drive thinking that my knee would collapse again, and i didn’t want to bother my father by giving him such a late notice to drive me home. And so many things happened which forced me to walk around the mall and climb three flights, drive around, make some calls, and eventually drive myself home. I think that my baby girl was really getting impatient with me because my tummy was contracting while doing all these things. Oh, and i forgot to wear baby plus that night! Tsk!

Eventually, I was able to sleep around 2-3am. And since I am a mommy of a toddler-schooling boy, I had to wake up at 6am. Good thing i have help. While he was being fed breakfast, I was in the shower. When he was taking a bath, I was preparing for work. Being a stage mom, I do not want him to be late so he would receive a “Best in Attendance” award at least. I skipped breakfast and dashed to the car.

On the way to school, I told my son that I would not be able to escort him to the grounds; I have to give him to Ate. Getting a parking slot in his school is like winning a lotto. I was constrained to drive him to the gate entrance and ask someone to ensure that he makes it to his cue. My son protested quite a bit to the plan. He said that Ate does not go with him to the grounds but just leaves him on his own. Well, we had no choice. And I have yet to see the truth. Last year, I see Ate holding his hand until he was out of my view. So, I supposed that he was being accompanied until he reaches his teacher.

Lo and behold! My son is an honest person. Kuya took him from me and endorsed him to Ate who helped him climb the steep school steps. But upon reaching the entrance door, Ate left him so she could attend to other students. I saw Jadon walk tentatively towards the grounds. And today is National Anthem Day which means that he should line up in the courtyard. I hope that he finds his way. Or that some good-hearted person would lead him to his section.

I couldn’t fetch him today also because I have a lunch meeting. He’s usually off by 1130am. However, he’s been enrolled to a music class which is held on Wednesdays and Thursdays. And, of course, today is the First Day. Which I would not be able to attend because of the damn meeting. So, he’s off by 1230pm which is the start of the meeting. Had it been any other day, I could have picked him up and be late for about 30 minutes in the meeting which would last until 3pm. Thus, I asked his ever-dependable Lola to get him from school.

And because of the number of hours I have put in the office for the last three days, I was planning to go home early and get that much-needed sleep to make up with my baby girl who has as much, if not more stress than I have, her being still in my tummy. But, I might not be able to do that because we have another meeting tomorrow, and i am one of those in charge of preparation of papers. Sort of. I just hope that the documents would be in early so we could review it before my body passes out.

And today is just Wednesday morning. Not even 75% towards weekend.

Mind-Changing View

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Uncategorized

I have been following The Celebrity Apprentice 3 for quite some time now.

I have to admit that Bret Michaels has captured my heart. Prior to watching the series, I thought that rock stars are occupied only with dope, girls and vanity. It never entered my mind that they could be the sensitive and caring to others. But as the show progresses, Bret exhibited such affection and diplomacy to the other contenders. He proved to the viewers that you could be competitive without having to bring others down or stabbing them in the back. I heart Bret :)

I would have also wanted to see Cyndi Lauper until the end of the show. And, in all fairness to Bret, he gave his opinion based on what he had seen. He had no clue what Cyndi went through with all the b****y girls. Throughout the season, it was Cyndi’s handiwork that was the saving grace of Team Tenacity. So, I do not know how others could be soooo blind.

Anyway, GO BRET!!!  Let’s all do the Tour Bus Thrust!!!

Oooopppssss!

Quite A Scare

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Bed Room

It was just a routine check-up last Saturday. The doctor asked me if i still experience some spotting and cramps, and i had to say yes. I laid on the bed to check the heartbeat of the baby. Minutes seemed forever, and we waited in vain. I was having cramps, but i could not remember if i complained to her that day. I had an internal exam, and she saw traces of blood. She also thought that the cervix was a little bit open.

We rushed to the Women’s Health Care Center immediately to have a scan. Roney’s heart was thumping so hard, and i couldn’t breathe.

While waiting for the elevator, we heard a man talking on his cellphone. His wife was confined because she was undergoing a D&C procedure. The embryo didn’t have a heartbeat at 6 weeks. And all i can think was we were almost 13 weeks already!

Every second that ticked while waiting for my turn to have the scan was slower than ever. Then, it was time. The first thing the sonologist confirmed was the heartbeat. It was beating fast and the baby was constantly moving. That was probably the reason why we were not able to get the heartbeat using the doppler instrument.

Despite our relief, Roney was still shaken and his heart beat faster on our way home. Me? I was just so happy that the baby in my tummy is still safe :) October please come sooner :)

New Year New Hope

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Uncategorized

So many things happened last year that i would rather forget. And the new year should give me a new hope. but the ghosts of the past (or in plain lingo, consequences/effects) still haunt me (which means, i have to live with it).

anyway, i have to change my diskarte and be more flexible this year. because right now, just second week into the next decade, i am already STRESSED!

Bagday

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Bed Room

A month ago, hunny roney asked me if i want another bag for my birthday. I have been teasing him that the last one he gave me seemed to be lonely being a single entity of its class. For me, it was just a tease; something to throw him out of complacency. I am really not a baglady anyway. So, i gave him a different answer each time.

But then, i began thinking that who knows if he would ever have the opportunity to ask me the same question again, or if i would ever have the luxury to choose. And besides, it’s an investment, right? People nowadays buy pre-owned designer bags. Carpe diem!

And, again, i am not really a baghag.  So, it took us an hour last Friday (yep, that’s the real reason why i was fully made up! hahaha!) to finally decide which one to buy. We went from one shop to another, then back again because nothing feels right; nothing seems to fit on me. Then, the sales girl finally saw that we were really intent to buy one because we visited her shop five times already. She suggested this one great bag that I really fell in love with. I actually saw it when we went in, but it’s way beyond hunny roney’s budget so i didn’t bother. However, when he saw how my eyes lit up and the curve of my mouth extended beyond my eyes when i tried it on, he just went on, not minding the set ceiling price.

However, since at current time, it is still not officially my birthday, i have not yet opened my gift. But here’s a picture of the paper bag where my real and beautiful bag lies. I am so excited! Yipee!
