WS: At the Park

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Living Room

Last Saturday afternoon, Baby J asked if we could go to Luneta to do this:

And up in the sky, the kite flew!

And when the sun came down, Baby J became a “soccer monster” like Pablo

Then we had dinner at the Blue Wave. But, instead of eating his food, Baby J went to the arcade to do this:

What a happy weekend!

FIRST SMILE

There are pictures which preceded this one that might depict a smiling Jadon. But, he might only be yawning. hehe! I am pretty sure that he was cheerful when this was taken on October 1, 2006 via Nokia 6300.

Two nights ago, Jadon said,

(pointing at Roney),

Tatay is a boy.”

(pointing at me),

Nanay is a girl.”

(pointing at himself),

Jadon is Super Map!”

Bagging the Gift

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Living Room

I was about to doze off the other night when Roney popped this question,

“If I would give you a Louis Vuitton bag as a Christmas gift…”

My shrieks drowned out the rest of his words.

Any bag is always welcome in my closet. But an LV bag would have the VIP seat, of course. Although I am not a bag hag like most women, I have nothing against a monogram leather over my shoulder, especially if it is a gift.

Anyway, pagkatapos kong mahimasmasan, and after Roney was finally able to finish the question (which I could no longer remember), the logical and not-a-bag-lady me intervened.

Times are hard. Baby Jadon might go to school next year. We might add another member of the family. We have bills to pay, house to beautify, car to maintain. Besides, I have no daughter yet to hand it down, if ever.

So, I told him that I would be happy to receive an LV bag SOMEDAY when our spare money would no longer be considered savings. But for this Christmas, I would be content to receive any gift amounting to no more than P10,000.00 (but not less than P9,000.00). haha!

The Coin Bearer

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Bed Room, Living Room, Street

Last weekend was memorable to our family. It was the FIRST TIME for Jadon to march on the red carpet as the Coin Bearer. The invitation to be a part of the entourage was a nice surprise. We really did not expect it from Glenda and Alvin. I hope that the blessings of God would always be upon them all the days of their lives.

Anyway, prior to the Big Event, we made sure that Jadon knows how to march. That is the easy part because he can already walk. However, upon reaching me (or his Tatay), he would just throw the pillow to us instead of giving it gently. He did it EVERYTIME we practiced. So, we agreed that we would go to the Sanctuary earlier than usual and practice there, hoping that he would not throw the pillow at the end of the aisle.

Also, I taught him how to smile showing his teeth. This was shot before we went out of the house:

Isn’t he adorable? This became our desktop background. However, when he saw it, he said, “Jadon crying”.

Hmmmm… Do you think he was smiling or crying?

So, when we got to the Sanctuary, we immediately asked for the pillow and practiced on the red carpet. All went well. But Jadon was really hurting my eardrums of his incessant talking!

First, he saw the tables. He said, “Eat! Eat! Eat!”

Next, he saw the salad bar. He said, “Carrots! Leaf!”

And then the fountain. And also the buffet table, where he said, “Open. Eat!”

Of course he also saw the beautiful wedding cake and sang, “Happy birthday!”

He would repeat all the words until you acknowledge that he was correct in what he was pointing at.

Anyway, during our practice in the Sanctuary, Jadon did the march perfectly. Except the part that he was not supposed to go on stage. He wanted to go up the podium.

During the procession from the door to end of the red carpet, Jadon was dropping his pillow just so he could pick it up. However, when he was on the red carpet, he marched on his own and did not attempt to go to the stage.

When the coins were asked by the Pastor, he went to the aisle to give it to him. The Best Man tried to get it from Jadon, but Jadon refused and said, “Give to the Pastor!”

And only when the Pastor’s hand was reaching out to him did he let go of the pillow.

Now, I really look forward to his next assignment :)

Mel gave me a smile.

I am doing the same to Mandy, Pat, Vina and Meeya. I hope they would smile at others, too.

Smiling is infectious,
You can catch it like the flu.
Someone smiled at me today,
And I started smiling too.

Toss this smile along to your friends who brightened up your day
or those whose days you want to brighten up.

Smile!

Each day is a wonderful reason to celebrate!

A Little Added Knowledge

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Living Room

is what I need right now.

I am currently reading The Mom You’re Meant To Be by Cheri Fuller.  I am still in my first few pages after two weeks due to the busy-ness of my schedule. But I do hope to finish it soon so I can move on to other books. I am sorely tempted to buy Raising Boys by Steve Biddulph and Raising Cain by Dan Kindlon which are on sale at Amazon.com and these 2 books are neither available at National Bookstore or Powerbooks.
