This was our first glimpse of Jadon. He was still 6 months in my womb when this was taken

It was just an intimate celebration with nephews and nieces so that they would be able to get to know each other.
“I can’t define STRESS to you. Does the stress come from working more than 8 hours a day? Or having to work an HOUR more than usual?”
Last weekend was memorable to our family. It was the FIRST TIME for Jadon to march on the red carpet as the Coin Bearer. The invitation to be a part of the entourage was a nice surprise. We really did not expect it from Glenda and Alvin. I hope that the blessings of God would always be upon them all the days of their lives.
Anyway, prior to the Big Event, we made sure that Jadon knows how to march. That is the easy part because he can already walk. However, upon reaching me (or his Tatay), he would just throw the pillow to us instead of giving it gently. He did it EVERYTIME we practiced. So, we agreed that we would go to the Sanctuary earlier than usual and practice there, hoping that he would not throw the pillow at the end of the aisle.
Also, I taught him how to smile showing his teeth. This was shot before we went out of the house:
Isn’t he adorable? This became our desktop background. However, when he saw it, he said, “Jadon crying”.
Hmmmm… Do you think he was smiling or crying?
So, when we got to the Sanctuary, we immediately asked for the pillow and practiced on the red carpet. All went well. But Jadon was really hurting my eardrums of his incessant talking!
First, he saw the tables. He said, “Eat! Eat! Eat!”
Next, he saw the salad bar. He said, “Carrots! Leaf!”
And then the fountain. And also the buffet table, where he said, “Open. Eat!”
Of course he also saw the beautiful wedding cake and sang, “Happy birthday!”
He would repeat all the words until you acknowledge that he was correct in what he was pointing at.
Anyway, during our practice in the Sanctuary, Jadon did the march perfectly. Except the part that he was not supposed to go on stage. He wanted to go up the podium.
During the procession from the door to end of the red carpet, Jadon was dropping his pillow just so he could pick it up. However, when he was on the red carpet, he marched on his own and did not attempt to go to the stage.
When the coins were asked by the Pastor, he went to the aisle to give it to him. The Best Man tried to get it from Jadon, but Jadon refused and said, “Give to the Pastor!”
And only when the Pastor’s hand was reaching out to him did he let go of the pillow.
Now, I really look forward to his next assignment
There is not much to tell, except that I should’ve gone there with Roney so he wouldn’t miss me terribly
Anyway, we didn’t go to Disneyland, because we have gone there in 2005. We didn’t go to Ocean Park because I visited it in 2004. But we went to The Peak Tower since it was so foggy that we did not see anything the last time we were there.
On our third and last day, we went to Giordano outlet store to buy some Christmas presents. I was able to load my cart with caps, bags and shirts. The cashier punched all my goodies and put them in the bag. I was already dizzy and tired in the crowded store, so I just accepted the bag and asked him if everything were in it. He answered in the affirmative and called the next customer.
So, off we went to have lunch at Cafe de Coral where we met lots of OFW taking a day off for Hong Kong was celebrating the Moon Cake Festival. After lunch, we went back to the hotel which was in the other island. When I was taking out all my stuff from the bag to show them off to my friends, not a single shirt was in the bag!!! My friend and I immediately took the train and went back to the store to inquire if the sales person really put my shirts in the bag.
When we got there, the person immediately told me that he gave me 2 bags! Well, as far as I know, I only carried 1 bag. We waited for 10 minutes or so to let them review their CCTV camera. They asked if we had a male companion, which definitely was negative, and finally gave us the merchandise! They were nice and all, but I think they really knew that I was given only 1 bag.
Anyway, that was the highlight of my trip to Hong Kong. The prices are not as cheap as it used to be. The prices of fragrances in Sasa are almost the same, if not higher, than our Duty Free Shop. Actually, the only thing that enticed me to be in this trip was Sasa. But the store did not even make my dream come true— I was not able to bring home perfumes for everyone.
Anyway, I will visit HK again after a few more years, when Baby Jadon would be old enough to appreciate Disneyland and Ocean Park.
A wish shared by Mandy. Thanks!
Here’s something nice to go around to spread the spirit of Christmas as early as now. Starts here. It’s so simple. Copy the photo below then write your blog and your wish this Christmas 2008. Your wish has to be something PRICELESS and SELF-LESS… something that money can’t buy… something that another person will treasure dearly.
1. Bits and Pieces by Jan :: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children’s Home in San Juan.
2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse : My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I’d be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?
3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I’d like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year .
4. Mommy On Top: I wish I could help a couple of kids (both are related to my kids’ nannies) finish their education so they can, in turn, help their family earn a living. I could try and help them find a job, but without finishing their studies, they can only go too far. With a diploma or at least some certificate of formal education, they could do so much and reach farther. I hope my efforts in hooking them up with this certain NGO will come out with favorable results.
5. Coffeenchoclate : We hope to sustain an extended help for a few elders and be able to increase aid to another few elders before the year ends.
6. C’est La Vie: We’d like to continue on helping out and sharing the Christmas spirit to our household help and their families.
7. My Stories: I wish to increase our love offering to missions this Christmas so that more souls would be captured for Christ.
I hope that Cez, Karen, Meeya, Meldita & Weng would reveal their golden hearts through their wishes
