Getting Ready

Posted by: Dyes  /  Category: Uncategorized

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.

My almost-3-year-old son would soon be going to school this coming semester. How time flies so fast!

Like the rest of the moms who want the best for their child, I am over-excited about him joining the “big league”.  I was scouting, searching, and buying the books that are needed to prepare him for school. Of course, I won’t pressure him to literally READ the book, but one can hope, right? haha

And I also have to shop for his clothes, which is not easy. He is a boy and I really have not much to choose from. Good thing I have learned something from this so I know the “priority clothes”. hehe. And yes, i may have the tendencies to splurge for my one and only kid.

Some of his school items can be purchased from the faculty room, which makes my tasks easier. For the rest, I need to see my checklist from time to time.

Now, all I need is a chinese name in Mandarin characters. Any suggestion please?

A Little Added Knowledge

is what I need right now.

I am currently reading The Mom You’re Meant To Be by Cheri Fuller.  I am still in my first few pages after two weeks due to the busy-ness of my schedule. But I do hope to finish it soon so I can move on to other books. I am sorely tempted to buy Raising Boys by Steve Biddulph and Raising Cain by Dan Kindlon which are on sale at Amazon.com and these 2 books are neither available at National Bookstore or Powerbooks.

This is Jadon’s shelf. The ones he’s really crazy about are My Picture Dictionary, My Little Counting Book, Super Car, Nature Discovery Cards, The Runaway Bunny (look how tattered the book is already!) and some of Brainy Baby books. Books have been helpful to us widen Jadon’s vocabulary and understanding of things. He can identify the Earth, sandwich, roll, cake, sand, and other lots and lots of things because of these books.

If you have a child who likes books, feel free to snag this one :)
